The Pantone colour of the year is Classic Blue which Pantone describes as instilling calm, confidence, and connection; an enduring hue which highlights our desire for a dependable and stable foundation on which to build as we cross the threshold into a new era.

We agree that Classic Blue is a comforting colour, recalling the calmness of an evening sky as the sun dips below the horizon. It is a colour that lends itself well to the current décor trends. Our design team explore how to embrace Classic Blue in 2020.

Trend-forward shades of grey as shown in our Urban Collection, work beautifully with Classic Blue. Embrace the colour by playing with fabrics such as plush velvet, and rich woven textures as a counterpoint to the coolness of cement.

For a softer interpretation of Classic Blue, use encaustic tiles, inspired by 18th century decorative patterns in muted tones of blue and grey as a fabulous way to bring old-world charm to life in a modern way.
